“A”  Teams – Usually Grades 7 and 8 Team play at this level is competitive and based on many different facets of our student athletes.  Practices or games are scheduled five days per week.  Each practice will last a minimum of 90 minutes. The intention of this environment is to prepare the athletes for scholastic high school sports competition.  Individual positions and skills will be practiced along with increased time spent on real game situations.  Players posses an evolving knowledge of the game and continue to expand and utilize tactical strategies that are required for future success in high school competition.  Amount of  playing time will be determined by an athlete’s level of fitness, attitude, effort, and ability to play the game at both the skill and strategic levels.  A strong effort will be made by the coach to provide every team member with some game time in an attempt to facilitate the future development of every athlete.

“B”  Teams – Grades 6, 7 and 8 Considered a transitional experience, athletes will quickly move from learning rules of the game to an increasingly competitive environment.  At this stage more emphasis will be placed on mastering the concept of “team play” while continuing to improve one’s individual skills and fitness levels for competition. Coaches are committed to making every effort to provide a reasonable amount of playing time for every child in a fun and positive learning environment. Practices or games are scheduled five days per week.  Each practice will last a minimum of 90 minutes.
